Frequently asked questions
What counts as an event?
An event is any metered action your platform sends to Monigo — an API call, a file upload,
a message sent, a transaction processed. You define what to track. Each unique idempotency_key counts
as one event.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the start of your next billing period. Your data and customers are never affected by a plan change.
Do I need to provide a payment provider?
Yes — Monigo is a Bring Your Own Keys platform. You connect your existing Paystack, Flutterwave, or Monnify account. We never hold your money; we orchestrate the billing logic on top of your payment provider.
What happens if I exceed my event quota?
Events above your plan's included quota are billed at the overage rate (Startup: ₦200/1k events, Scale: ₦100/1k). You will receive an email warning at 80% usage and a final warning at 100%. Event ingestion is paused only if an outstanding invoice goes unpaid.
